The Non-Magnetic Mine Prodder has been developed to locate mines buried at depths up to 250mm. Primarily intended for situations where a magnetic device could activate. It is also able to be used where magnetic fields are not considered important.
The prodder is lightweight, man portable. Each mine probe is supplied with a webbing scabbard, which has all the necessary fittings for attaching to standard personal equipment webbing.
It consists of three main components and can be assembled in two versions:
Short version (approx. 50cm) for use mostly in kneeling or prone position.
Extended version (approx. 102cm) for use mostly when in standing position.
